Macaroni and Cheese Egg Allergy Recipe
This macaroni and cheese recipe is so easy and fast that you will never bother making mac and cheese from a box again! All you need is a few basic ingredients from your kitchen.
* 2 ounces cheddar cheese
* 1 Tablespoon of butter
* 1 Tablespoon of flour
* 1/3 cup of Milk
* 4 cups of precooked pasta (your choice of egg free pasta - not all pasta is egg free)
Add 2 ounces of cubed cheddar cheese and 1 tablespoon butter to your medium sauce pan. I recommend using a stainless steel pot or enamel coated. I never recommend using aluminum or non-stick pans for health reasons.
Melt the cheese and butter down while constantly stirring with a whisk on very low heat so not to burn the cheese.
Whisk in 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour and then add 1/3 cup of milk and remain on low heat.
Add all 4 cups of well drained pasta to your cheese mixture and stir constantly while your sauce pan is remaining on low flame for only a minute and serve. Be creative with your pasta choices if making for children. Barilla has a great selection of small shape pasta including wagon wheels, mini shells and mini bow ties.
If serving to small children I suggest serving it warm rather than hot to avoid burns. Adults should eat this dish hot and use caution.
